SWEET TEA TRAIL
The Sweet Tea Festival, held in September, is a celebration of the birthplace of sweet tea (1890), in Summerville, S.C. Stop by and see "Mason," the World's Largest Sweet Tea, which stands 15 feet tall and can hold up to 2,524 gallons.
ACROSS THE MIDLANDS
CONGAREE NATIONAL PARK
Established as Congaree Swamp National Monument in 1976, it was redesignated a national park in 2003. Today the park encompasses over 26,000 acres. Federally designated Wilderness Area, Globally Important Bird Area, International Biosphere Reserve, and a RAMSAR Wetland of International Importance.
IN THE MOUNTAINS
CEASAR HEAD STATE PARK
Established as a state park in 1979. Fifty miles of easy to strenuous hiking trails. Raven Cliff Falls is the tallest waterfall in S.C. Topographic maps suggest a height between 320 and 350 feet. Located in Greenville County, South Carolina.
