MCCRADY'S TAVERN
CHARLESTON - 1778
The oldest Bar in South Carolina. Between 1778-1982 it served a variety of purposes before being restored as an upscale restaurant. In 2016, the historic building was turned back into a tavern.

SPARTANBURG - 1958
Founded in 1865 in Maine, Milliken invested in a facility in South Carolina in 1884, and eventually moved their corporate HQ's to Spartanburg in 1958. Milliken produces many of the products that touch our lives including airbag fabric, luggage, fire-resistant fabrics, roofing tape fabric, plastic lawn baskets, fiber optic cables, floor coverings and even sports equipment.

Incorporated in 1899 as Southern Novelty Company, Sonoco Products Co. Is one of the largest packaging manufacturers in the world.
DUKE'S MAYO
GREENVILLE - 1917
Eugenia Duke from Greenville, SC wanted to make extra money, so she began selling sandwiches lathered in her tangy homemade sauce to World War 1 soldiers at Camp Sevier. By 1919, Eugenia was selling more than 10,000 sandwiches a day for around 10 cents each.
OLDE COLONY BAKERY

Olde Colony Bakery is the oldest family operated bakery in the historic Charleston area.

EDISTO ISLAND - 2003
Betsy and Greg Johnsman took over their family farm, owned for 3 generations, and began selling fruits and vegetables. In 2007 they added a gristmill and mill grits and cornmeal.
PALMETTO CHEESE
PAWLEYS ISLAND - 2006
The Palmetto Cheese recipe was developed by Sassy Henry for tailgating at an Atlanta Braves Game. In 2006, the cheese was officially marketed with 20 packs put up for sale at Independent Seafood in Georgetown, South Carolina.
PALMETTO FARMS GRITS
CONWAY - 1934
In 1934 James Graham built and began operating a stone mill to make grits and corn meal for friends and family. Four generations later they continue the family legacy.
PAWLEYS ISLAND HAMMOCK SHOP
ORIGINAL HAMMOCK SHOP - 1935
Cap'n Josh redesigned the hammock in the late 1800's. With no knots, wider heavy cotton rope in a double-latch weave and spreader bars at the end.
MICHELIN NORTH AMERICA
PLEXINGTON - 1975
In 1975, Michelin opened it's first U.S. tire plant in Greenville, South Carolina. Ten years later in 1985 they moved their U.S. headquarters to Greenville too.
